They say teenagers

You felt you were ready
And you thought everything through.

When your parents find out
Would they be furiously mad?
Scold you for being so foolish,
And make you feel incredibly bad?

Would they not trust you?
Stop letting you go out?
Keep you locked up inside
Until you scream and shout?

Or would they feel let down?
Like they didn't watch close enough.
The never thought parenthood
Would be so tough.

They start to get over it,
Understand it was your choice.
You weren't forced into anything.
You spoke your mind with your voice.

You eventually get married,
Have kids of your own
With the same boy
To whom your body was first shown.
