Thanks to Uncle Sam, I was able to sustain my living situations for the most part while I was out of a job for a little over 3 weeks. Of course, I didn't actually snag a job until I was flat broke. Luckily the job was exactly what I wanted. More amazing is that I went to them looking for a job nearly a month and a half ago when I was going to be moving to Colorado. I'm basically a human answering machine--I work at an answering service. I love it! It only took me 2 hours to catch on. They hired me for only 13 hours a weeks, but I seemed to impress them because they put me on for 30! Then someone quit, so I was able to pick-up two more shifts, which puts me at 43 hours for my first full week! I can't wait to see that check...

In other news, I attended my first pirate festival this weekend in Mediera Beach. It was exciting. Lots of real, authentic pirates. I even brought my dog, Jazz. It was her first vacation and she was the best scurvy dog there. Most of my crew ended up leaving before we could even get to the festival because the Captain fell ill, but they were able to return Sunday night for the VIP party. A pirate festival just isn't the same without your whole crew, ya dig? Anyway, I can't wait until the next one in September.

I'll be moving at the end of this month. It's in town, but it still sucks balls because of the whole packing and unpacking thing. I can't help but be excited because I'll be leaving this house full of memories. Memories I can't take any more of.

On a lighter note, things are looking up and I'm finally feeling clear.
